MCSO Press Release – Murder Victim Identified

On 05-21-2010 Detectives from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit located the burned remains of a human corpse in the 18000 block of U.S. 59 South.

Detectives were able to identify a suspect at the time and arrested Robert Ellis Hinton W\M DOB: 01-23-1984 for Abuse of a Corpse.  Hinton’s bond was set at $100,000 and he has been incarcerated since his arrest.

On 06-29-2010 Hinton was charged with murder and an additional bond of $250,000 was set.

The victim has been positively identified through D.N.A. as Deborah Carol Applegate W\F DOB: 09-22-1963 of New Caney.

    I can find no information about the trial and sentencing of this monster. Do any of you know anything about it? He has a criminal record miles long and he had no business being free in the first place.

    A quick search turns up nothing as far as sentencing for this suspect as of yet.

    We do not have any additional info.

    You can always call the DA’s office and ask the status of the case…trial date etc.
