Compiled by Chief Deputy Barry Welch

Montgomery County Constable Pct. 4 Deputies served 60 civil papers, 20 evictions and 1 writ throughout East Montgomery County. Numerous suspects were arrested, clearing 20 JP4 warrants, 4 Montgomery County warrants, and 1 Harris County warrant.

No Driver’s License, No Insurance, No Way!

7 vehicles were towed in East Montgomery County last week because drivers had no license and/or no insurance.

Neighborhood Patrol

Free trip to Houston for local charged with sexually assaulting child

On August 18, an anonymous tip led Captain H. Moody and other deputies to a home in the 25900 block of Peach Drive in New Caney, where they arrested 19-year-old Dyrl Ernie Ebanks, Jr. on a Harris County warrant for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child Under 14 – a second-degree felony.  Ebanks was sitting in the front room of the house and ignored officers at the door. They made entry and took Ebanks into custody without incident. Ebanks has a lengthy criminal history with prior charges including assault, criminal mischief, evading arrest and multiple theft charges. Ebanks was booked into the East Montgomery County Jail and later transferred to the Harris County Jail in Houston where he remains held on $30,000 bond.

Just “plane” busy

Pct. 4 Deputies joined other agencies in securing the area of a plane crash that occurred Monday night on Oak Knoll Drive at Old Houston Road in Porter as the pilot attempted to reach Williams Field. The single engine private plane crashed nose down in a yard, missing the residence. The pilot survived the crash and was air lifted to the Texas Medical Center in Houston with head trauma. Deputies remained throughout the night and the next day so the wreckage is not disturbed during the FAA investigation.

It pays to play by the rules

Deputy J. Dowling took another dangerous fugitive off the streets last week when he arrested 22-year-old Justin Dale Gilmore of Splendora. Gilmore had outstanding warrants for Assault Causes Bodily Injury/Family Violence and Violation of a Protective Order. Gilmore also has a history of giving false information and/or failing to identify himself to law enforcement.
