MCSO Press Release – Apparent Murder, Suicide

On 11-08-2010 at approximately 2 am, Patrol Deputies from District 6 responded to a 911 call in the 3300 Blk. of Gary Lane in the Timber Lakes Timber Ridge Subdivision. The initial call to the residence was for a possible stabbing and a second call received was for a possible shooting. Patrol Deputies arrived approximately 4 minutes after the initial call and found Delissa Facio W\F DOB: 12-06-1984 (25 YOA) lying in the hallway of the residence suffering from an apparent stab wound to the chest. Upon further inspection of the residence Patrol Deputies located Yolanda Facio W\F DOB 12-25-1962 (47 YOA) in the Master Bedroom with an apparent self inflicted gun shot wound to the head.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit, Crime Scene Investigators and Texas Rangers were called to the scene and are currently gathering information and collecting evidence.

Delissa Facio was transported to Memorial Herman Hospital in The Woodlands, where she was pronounced deceased. Yolanda Facio was pronounced dead at the scene at the residence on Gary Ln.

There was another adult daughter at the residence at the time of the Homicide but she was able to escape and call for help. There was also a 5 month old baby at the residence and he was not harmed.

This case is being treated as a Murder\Suicide where it appears that the mother stabbed her daughter in the chest and then shot herself. There is no clear motive at this time for the Murder\Suicide but the case is still under investigation.

Jp#3 Judge Connelly conducted an inquest at the scene and both bodies will be transported to the Medical Examiners Office in Dallas for Autopsy sometime tomorrow.
