MCSO Press Release – Weekly Blotter 6-28-11

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

On June 20, Deputy C. Santoro was notified of a suspicious vehicle in the 18300 block of Hwy 105E.  The Deputy located the vehicle and found a male asleep inside.  The male was intoxicated and was found to have an outstanding warrant for a motion to revoke probation out of Jefferson County. The 58 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 3:02am and transported to jail.

A 25 year old female from Willis was arrested at 2:12am, June 21, in the 9600 block of Live Oak Trail by Deputy C. Santoro for a possession with intent to deliver/manufacture controlled substance warrant out of Montgomery County.  The Deputy had received information on the female’s location.  The female was taken to jail.

A 58 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 4:14am, June 22, in the 12500 block of Crockett Martin by Deputy K. Underwood for a theft by check warrant out of Montgomery County and a parole violation warrant out of TDCJ.  The Deputy was on an investigation call.  The male was transported to jail.

A 50 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 12:05pm, June 22, in the 700 block of Biloxi Court by Deputy J. Parker for an outstanding warrant out of Wisconsin Department of Corrections.  The male was taken to jail.

A 42 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 6:36pm, June 22, in the area of Cedar Lane and FM 1484 by Deputy S. Degner for a tampering with governmental records warrant out of Edna County.  The Deputy had received information on the male’s location.  The male was transported to jail.

On June 22, Deputy S. Degner was dispatched to a burglary of a building on N. Green Dr. The Deputy met with two complainants who advised someone had broken into their garages and stole several items and that they gave chase and lost sight of the suspect in the woods.  The Deputy drove the area and found a male matching the description.  The Deputy located the stolen items and detained the male.  One male, age 23, from Conroe, was arrested at 12:03am, June 23, and charged with burglary of a building.

A 29 year old male from Willis was arrested at 4:25pm, June 23, in the 200 block of North Wood by Deputy J. Kader for a theft warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a disturbance.  The male was taken to jail.

On June 24, Deputy S. Degner was sent to the 13000 block of Lazy Lane on a suspicious person call. The suspicious person was knocking on doors.  The Deputy located the male coming out of the woods.  The male was intoxicated. The 23 year old male from Willis was arrested at 2:50am and transported to jail.

On June 24, Deputy S. Degner observed a male riding a bicycle in the roadway in the area of FM 1484 and Rustling Oaks.  The male was found to be intoxicated.  The 18 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 4:20am and transported to jail.

On June 24, Deputy C. Holcomb was notified of a family violence assault on W. Shore Drive.  The Deputy met with a male and female on location and a witness.  During the investigation it was learned that both the male and female had assaulted against each other. The 30 year old male and 27 year old female, both from Huntsville, were arrested at 7:07am, charged with assault and transported to jail.

A 23 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 10:00am, June 24, in the 17300 block of Old Hwy 105 E by Deputy C. Holcomb for a possession of marijuana failure to appear warrant out of Brazos County.  The Deputy had received a tip on the male’s location.  The male was taken to jail.

On June 24, Deputy D. Everton was dispatched to the 10400 block of White Rock Road in reference to a family violence.  The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised her boyfriend had come to her home and started yelling.  The boyfriend calmed down and the victim got into his vehicle. The suspect started driving recklessly out of her driveway. He stopped the vehicle and grabbed her by the throat.  The victim was able to get away and called 9-1-1.  The 33 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 11:15pm in the 18100 block of Black Berry Lane and taken to jail.

On June 26, Deputy S. Degner stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the area of FM 1484 and Tree Monkey Road.  The driver was found to be intoxicated and the male passenger was passed out in the vehicle.  Both males gave false names to the Deputy.  The 29 year old male driver from Montgomery was arrested at 11:40pm and charged with DWI and fail to identify.  The 43 year old male passenger from Conroe was also arrested and charged with public intoxication and fail to identify.  Both males were taken to jail.

District 2 – Lt. Brady Fitzgerald (South County)

On June 15, 2011, Deputy Ward conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Rayford Road and Geneva.  The driver, 22-year-old male from Spring did not have a current driver’s license.  The deputy found on the driver marijuana, a butterfly knife, and a switchblade knife.  The suspect was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Prohibited Weapons.  A check through dispatch found that the suspect also had an outstanding warrant.  The suspect was taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

On June 17, 2011, Deputy Flynn was dispatched to a Disturbance on Budde Road.  When the deputy arrived he met with the complainant, who stated that the suspect had broken into her apartment and assaulted her.  The suspect, 33-year-old male from Spring, had broken a window and a door inside the apartment.  The suspect was arrested for Criminal Trespass of a Habitation and Assault Family Violence.

On June 18, 2011, Deputy Schutzenhofer was dispatched to a Suspicious Person on Richards Road.  The complainant stated that there were several young men at a gazebo and they believed there was drug activity.  Deputy Schutzenhofer arrived and found the suspect, 18-year-old male from Spring, sitting in the gazebo as reported.  Deputy Schutzenhofer found the suspect to be in possession of marijuana.  The suspect was taken into custody, transported to the Montgomery County Jail, and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

On June 19, 2011, Deputy Underwood observed a black pickup truck parked in the exit drive of a closed business with its lights off.  Upon approaching the vehicle, Deputy Underwood found that the vehicle was running and the driver, 29-year-old male from Pace, Fl., was asleep in the driver’s seat.  The driver exhibited several signs of intoxication including, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and unsteady balance.  The suspect was placed into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail charged with Driving While Intoxicated. 

On June 28, 2011, Deputy Zavorski was dispatched to a location on Sawdust Road in reference to a Disturbance.  Upon arrival, Deputy Zavorski observed the suspect, 24-year-old female from Conroe, fighting with two of her friends.  The suspect was intoxicated.  The suspect was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

On 6/22/11 Deputies Amstutz and Bartoskewitz checked by with S/Sgt. Altemus on a traffic stop where a female was driving with her hazard lights on and unable to control the vehicle.  A 27 year old female driver admitted to taking numerous pills the day before but still exhibited signs of intoxication at the time of the traffic stop.  The female failed several Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. 

On 6/22/11 Deputies Azwell and Hilado were dispatched to a Shoplifter call at the Porter Walmart.  According to Loss Prevention a male and a female were observed switching tags off of lower priced merchandise and placing them on high priced merchandise and then proceeding to the self check out register.  They scanned the items at a lower price and then exited the store where they were approached by Loss Prevention associates.  Both individuals were arrested, charged with Class “B” Theft and transported to jail in Conroe without further incident.

On 6/23/11 Deputy Dunn responded to FM 1314/Highway 59 to meet a DPS Trooper who had a 23 year old male in custody on a Montgomery County warrant.  Deputy Dunn took custody of the male and transported him to the East County Jail.

On 6/24/11 Deputy White was dispatched to a used auto sales business on FM 1314 for a Theft in Progress.  A 43 year old male was on the property loading scrap metal into his truck but stated he had permission to be there.  As it turned out the male did not have permission from anyone to even be on the property much less be taking scrap metal.  The male was arrested and charged with Class “B” Theft and transported to jail.

On 6/25/11 Deputy Holden was dispatched to Russell Drive for a Family Violence in Progress call.  Two brothers were having a verbal argument over a lost set of keys when one brother head butted the other.  The brother that was assaulted tried to leave the residence but the other brother continued to punch him with a closed fist in the back of the head.  The 23 year old brother was arrested, charged with Assault/Family violence and transported to jail.

On 6/26/11 Deputy Layman was dispatched to Perkins Rd. for an Assault call.  Upon arrival it was learned two brothers were having an argument over a missing fishing rod and reel.  The older brother shoved his younger brother knocking him into the TV and wall.  The 44 year old male was arrested, charged with Assault/Family violence and transported to jail.

On 6/27/11 Deputy Logan was dispatched to Fawn Lane for a Family Violence in Progress call.  Upon arrival it was learned a 38 year old female assaulted her boyfriend by punching him with a closed fist.  The female initially stated she was the one that had been assaulted but she did not show any signs of injury.  The male showed to have swelling and fresh bruising around the left eye area.  The female was arrested and transported to Female Booking in Conroe without further incident.

On 6/27/11 Deputy Jackson responded to a Welfare Check on William Lane for a male sitting on the side of the road.  Upon identifying the male it was discovered he had an active warrant for his arrest through Montgomery County.  The warrant was confirmed and the 18 year old male was transported to East County jail.

On 6/28/11 Deputy Smith was patrolling the area of Thomas Lane and Stewart Lane when he observed two males walking down the street.  One male was highly intoxicated and gave a false name to Deputy Smith.  Upon learning his true identity the male was arrested for Public Intoxication and Failure to Identify.  The 20 year old male was transported to East County jail without further incident.

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

On June 25th Deputy Mittag observed a 48 year old male standing outside of his vehicle at the intersection of FM 1486 and FM 1774.  The vehicle was parked off the roadway.  The Deputy could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. The Deputy had cause to believe the subject was a danger to himself and placed the subject into custody for Public Intoxication.

On June 24th Deputy Durbin was dispatched to North Heaton Drive in reference to a Disturbance.  While on scene a check of all parties involved revealed an active warrant for a 31 year old female subject for DWI.  The warrant was confirmed and the subject was placed into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.

On June 23rd Deputy Krolczyk was dispatched to the Timberloch Estates subdivision in reference to a Fighting call.  Upon arrival Deputy Krolczyk met with the two male subjects involved.  After the Deputy spoke with all persons on scene it was determined the fighting was mutual between the two parties.  Both parties were issued citations for Disorderly Conduct.

On June 21st Deputy Provenzano was dispatched to the 19000 block of Alford Road in regards to a male subject jumping out in front of vehicles.  The 20 year old male had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage.  Deputy Provenzano felt the subject was a danger to himself and/or others, so he placed the subject into custody for Public Intoxication and transported him to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.

On June 21st Deputy Krolczyk was dispatched a convenience store on Nichol Sawmill Road for an Assault, Criminal Mischief and Theft call.  Upon arrival the Deputy met with the Complainant who advised a female had come into the store to purchase items from the deli and then came to the counter and asked for rolling papers.  The clerk saw the subject take some of the papers out and put them into her pants and then bring back the package to the counter.  When confronted and told she had to buy the papers since she had taken some of them the subject threw $3.00 on the counter for her deli purchase and walked out of the door. The female re-entered the store and hit the Complainant with a garbage can and a male with the suspect began to argue with the clerk.  The male threw items from the counter and damaged two 12 pack bottles of beer.  Deputy Krolczyk issued the female a citation for Criminal Mischief and Assault and later met with the male and issued him a Citation for Criminal Mischief and Assault.  Both Suspects were issued Criminal Trespass Warnings.

On June 18th Sergeant Hernandez while on patrol observed a Silver Mercedes traveling east on Hardin Store Road.  Sergeant Hernandez initiated a traffic stop and spoke with the driver a 29 year old male.  The Sergeant detected a strong odor of alcohol on the subject’s breath and his eyes were blood shot.   Sergeant Hernandez placed the subject into custody for DWI (2nd) and transported him to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.

On June 14th Deputy LaSalle was dispatched to the High Meadow Ranch subdivision in reference to a copper theft.  Upon arrival Deputy LaSalle met with the owner of a Building Company with a house currently under construction.  The builder advised that someone had stolen and damaged approximately $2,000 worth of copper wiring and tubing for the air conditioning unit along stealing another $2,000 of rolls of electrical wiring.

District 5 – Lt. Gary Welch   (Northwest County)

June 21st Sgt. Spiller was dispatched to the 1000 block of Lakeview Dr. in regards to Theft. The Complainant reported that someone had stolen a trailer loaded with two watercraft vehicles. This case is under investigation by the Auto Theft Task Force.

June 21st Deputy Rex responded to Pinewood Trail Drive in regards to a Burglary. The Complainant reported that someone had entered into their home and stole several firearms and numerous power tools. This case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.

June 25th Deputy Garlock responded to Ripplewind Drive for the report of a Criminal Trespass. The homeowner reported an intoxicated female trespasser on his property that refused to leave. The subject was located on the property and arrested for Criminal Trespass and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

June 28th Deputy Davis conducted a Traffic Stop on a vehicle in the 17400 block of SH 105W for driving in an erratic manner. Upon making contact with the male driver it was suspicioned that he may be intoxicated. After administering several standard field sobriety tests, the diver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and placed into the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

June 28th Deputy Pugh was dispatched to a local business on SH 105 West in reference to a Disturbance. It was learned that an intoxicated male on location was being disruptive and causing a disturbance. The male was arrested for Public Intoxication and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

Woodlands (District 6) Zone Map

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

On June 20, 2011, Sr. Sergeant Herring conducted a traffic stop.  After talking with the driver, 22-year-old male from Houston, Sgt. Herring informed him his registration and vehicle inspection were both expired.  The driver was unable to provide his driver’s license due to it being suspended and he stated he did not have insurance.  The driver was taken into custody for Driving While License Suspended-No Insurance, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On June 22, 2011, Deputy Rodriguez conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker.  As Deputy Rodriguez approached the vehicle, he could smell marijuana.  During the investigation, the passenger, 18-year-old male from The Woodlands, was found to be in possession of marijuana.  The suspect was taken into custody, charged with Possession of Marijuana, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.   

Shoplifting Arrest(s):

6/19 – Deputy Clifton was dispatched to a Theft call at 1100 Lake Woodlands Drive.  The suspect attempted to take $307.68 worth of merchandise from Target.  The suspect originally gave Deputy Clifton a false name and birthdate, but was later positively identified at female booking.  The suspect, 42-year-old female from Houston, was taken into custody for Theft and was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident. 

6/24 – Deputy Ross arrested a 17 year old female from Tomball and a 17 year old female from Magnolia for Theft at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive.  The suspects attempted to take $141.75 worth of merchandise from Macy’s.  The suspects were transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident. 

6/24 – Deputy Rascoe and Deputy Ansley arrested a 36 year old male from Spring for Theft at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive.  The suspect did not pay his bill of $1052.75 worth of tires and other merchandise from Sear’s Automotive.  The suspect was located at his home and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.  Due to the suspect having several convictions for Theft, charges were upgraded to a State Jail Felony.

6/25 – Deputy Farrell and Deputy Rodriguez were dispatched to 10001 Woodlands Parkway in reference to a Theft.  The suspect, 17-year-old female from The Woodlands, attempted to take $185.99 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart.  The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

Public Intoxication Arrest(s):

6/24 – Deputy Conklin arrested a 34 year old male from Conroe for Public Intoxication.  The suspect was observed staggering south on Water Way Avenue and then getting into the passenger side of a vehicle.  Deputy Conklin made contact with the suspect and noticed him to have red blood shot eyes, slurred speech, and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.  The suspect was given the opportunity to take a cab home, however, the suspect got out of the cab a couple blocks away.  The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

6/25 – Deputy Ansley was flagged down by security at Baker Street and notified that a patron was intoxicated and being abusive towards security personnel.  Deputy Ansley made contact with the suspect, 27-year-old male from Houston and immediately noticed the suspect was intoxicated.  The suspect was placed into custody and taken to the Montgomery County Jail charged with Public Intoxication.

6/26 – Deputy Roberts was dispatched to the Woodlands Conference Center on N. Millbend in reference to a Welfare Check.  Upon arrival, Deputy Roberts observed EMS personnel attempting to take vitals of a 39-year old male from Houston that was found passed out on the golf course.  The suspect had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, unsteady balance and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.  Deputy Roberts placed him in custody for Public Intoxication and took him to the Montgomery County Jail.

Warrant Arrest(s):

 6/23 – Deputy Rascoe and Deputy Ansley were dispatched to the Adult Probation office at 9200 Grogan’s Mill for a Warrant Service.  The suspect, 20-year-old male from Conroe, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Austin County and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
