Pct. 4 Constable Press Release – Pct. 4 Constable’s Office 2012 Tac Team – Week 1

January 10, 2012

The Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office Tactical Team made a strong showing for the start of the new year, arresting 14 people on a variety of charges, from outstanding warrants to felony drug charges.

As the result of the 14 arrests, the Pct. 4 Tac Team recovered 5.7 pounds of marijuana; 2 grams of cocaine; 1 SKS Assault Rifle; 4 handguns; and 1 shotgun.

The TAC Team wrapped up the week with the final two arrests, which were the result of a search warrant executed with the assistance of the Precinct 2 Constable’s Office. On January 7, deputies received information regarding a large amount of raw marijuana at a residence on Miller Circle in Conroe. After obtaining a search warrant, the Tac Team went to the residence where they discovered a small amount of marijuana in a closet with a shotgun and a .357 revolver. The serial numbers on the .357 had been obscured. While the Tac Team was on location, 18-year-old Kyle Austin Wright arrived home and claimed ownership of the room where the marijuana was discovered and was taken into custody, charged with misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana. Meanwhile, Tac Team members learned a second suspect, believed to be in possession of the large amount of marijuana they sought, attempted to hide it at an associate’s residence, fearing law enforcement was already en route to his house. The contraband was discovered at a home in the 16000 block of Aldridge, in Conroe.  The Tac Team then arrested the original suspect, 35-year-old Johnny Floyd Wright, Jr., who is charged with third-degree felony Possession of Marijuana.

On January 7, around 2 a.m., Pct. 4 Tac Team members initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Highline Blvd. and Crockett Martin. The vehicle’s owner, 29-year-old Rogelio Delabra, Jr. of Conroe, was in the passenger seat and said his friend was driving because Delabra had too much to drink. A plastic bag containing cocaine was found on the passenger side of the vehicle. Delabra admitted using cocaine earlier, but denied ownership of the cocaine in his vehicle on the side where he was seated. Delabra is charged with state jail felony Possession of Cocaine.

Around 2:30 a.m. on January 7, a Pct. 4 Tac Team member conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Highline Blvd. and Crockett Martin Rd. and requested the driver exit the vehicle. As the driver complied, the deputy saw him throw a small clear plastic bag under his vehicle. The bag contained cocaine and the driver was taken into custody. Bardomaino Muniz, 28, of Conroe is charged with third-degree felony Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair; and state jail felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On January 4, around 2:30 a.m., a Pct. 4 Tac Team deputy received a tip regarding someone driving and smoking a marijuana cigarette. The deputy followed the vehicle to a residence in the 17500 block of Woods drive and attempted to make contact with the occupants. As the deputy approached the vehicle, an occupant in the rear of the vehicle swiftly fled on foot running through the woods, but the deputy eventually managed to apprehend him. The suspect said he ran because he knew he had an outstanding felony warrant. Danny Joe Miller, Jr., 31, of Conroe is charged with state jail felony Evading Arrest or Detention with Previous Conviction; and a felony Bond Forfeiture warrant.

On January 3, Pct. 4 Tac Team members were conducting a traffic stop in the 2590 block of FM 1485 when they noticed a vehicle enter a nearby convenience store parking lot with someone behind the wheel they recognized from previous interaction as an unlicensed driver. Franklin Lee Fruia, 19, of New Caney, got out of the driver’s seat and went in the store, along with his passenger, 18-year-old Joshua Dylan Wright of New Caney. One of the deputies approached Fruia and inquired as to the status of his driver’s license, which Fruia admitted he still had not obtained. Upon returning to the vehicle, the deputy discovered in plain view a clear plastic bag containing multiple other clear plastic bags of marijuana. An additional search of the vehicle produced a syringe containing methamphetamine.  Fruia claimed ownership of the marijuana and Wright admitted the syringe belonged to him. Fruia is charged with Possession of Marijuana and Wright is charged with state jail felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Jason Kristopher Freeland, 17, of Conroe – 2 outstanding warrants for Assault/Family Violence with Bodily Injury
