Danielle A. Gallegos, 25, of New Caney, is charged with state jail felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Blaine Daniel William Karalis, 19, of Spring is charged with Public Intoxication.

On March 29, a Pct. 4 Deputy Constable received information on wanted felon John Tidwell who was at a residence in the 20200 block of David Lane in New Caney. Multiple deputies responded to the location and were met at the front door by a Hispanic male who told them Tidwell was in the back of the residence. A strong smell of burnt marijuana was coming from inside the residence. In the bedroom, they found Tidwell with Danielle Gallegos, Blaine Karalis, and a 16-year-old. In plain view, near the bed, they found a pair of glass smoking pipes covered in methamphetamine residue and a plastic bag containing methamphetamine. Additional searching revealed a second bag containing methamphetamine.

Karalis and the 16-year-old were found to be highly intoxicated from an undetermined number of substances and alcohol.

Tidwell was taken into custody, along with his girlfriend, Gallegos, who was also the homeowner, as well as Karalis. The 16-year-old was issued a citation for public intoxication and released to the custody of his grandfather. Three other minors on location, ages 16, eight, and three years old were released to family members.

Tony Dewayne Snider, 40, of New Caney is charged with Possession of Marijuana.

On March 29, a Pct. 4 Deputy Constable, working with Constable Hayden, noticed a white dog in the middle of the roadway on Doriston Street near Marella in New Caney. The dog, not on a leash, was a traffic hazard and they had to stop to avoid hitting it. As they stopped, the dog ran onto a front porch n the 25900 block of Marella. When they attempted to make contact with the homeowners to discuss the dog running loose, through the front window, in plain view, they saw a tray with marijuana on it. As they continued to knock, Tony Snider arrived on a bicycle, saying the residence and dog belonged to him. They told Snider about the leash law and asked if he had any marijuana in the residence. He claimed he did not. However, after the marijuana was pointed out to him through the window, Snider claimed ownership of it. The contraband was seized and Snider was taken into custody.

When asked where he had been, Sterner said “The store.”  Sterner admitted having three 24 ounce beers on an empty stomach and he was holding a fourth beer while talking with deputies. Sterner provided a breath sample which confirmed his intoxication and he was taken into custody.
