Dear Oak Ridge Police Department:
Unfortunately, I received several tickets from your agency a
while back, and was financially incapable of taking care of these at the
time. Now that my financial situation is
looking a bit more positive, I am making an attempt to handle my now warrants,
along with some from other agencies as well.
However, your agency practices ridiculously unfair requirements
to set up a payment plan. The other
agencies that I also had warrants in, made it possible for me to set up a
payment plan, without taking food out of my kids mouth, by not asking for an
outrageous down payment and payment stipulations.
They require no money down, and are allowing me to pay $50
every two weeks. This is a much more
just and fair agency apparently, that actually cares about the success and well
being of the people who reside in their state, even though they did make a
mistake and break the law in the past.
I am writing this, to request that you re-think your policy
for people that are trying to take care of such issues. I am not a bad person at all, but I do not
have a lot of money just lying around either.
Your agency is making it impossible to financially handle the issue, and
these policies need to be reviewed.
You are here to serve and protect…not decrease our standards
of living, and possibility of success, for the love of money.
In closing, the agency that is making an attempt to work
with me is the one getting their money.
Not you….which I hope will change.
I would more than love to take care of my warrants with you, and give
you the money I owe you, but once again, you make it impossible.
I hope this reaches someone who can help me.
