PART 6 -
I would direct voters to Sadler's own private spin-doctors, The Conroe Courier's 10/30/10 article on Montgomery County Judge campaign contributions here: http://www.hcnonline.com/artic…..103110.txt
In it, reporter Nancy Flake declares the campaign finance race for contributions "a runaway for the incumbent".
Wait just a minute……not so fast, Nancy. Your headline for this story would have been a lot more fair and balanced if you had witten it thusly:
"Underdog Candidate HEATH Gaining Momentum In Last Days"
My point being that the candidates own campaign finance reports show Sadler got all his big bucks early this year when his cronies didn't think he would have any opponent in November AND when they all thought he was a "shoe-in" for re-election.
According to this latest Courier "spin" Sadler had only $1066.00 donated in the final month as opposed to the total of $90,789 donated to his campaign. This is a HUGE story in itself!
This statistic indicates a HUGE "cooling" towards incumbent Sadler. Why didn't Flake point this out?
Voters will remember that it is only since the beginning of October that a small contigent of main stream media outlets finally began to publicly expose Sadler's huge tax delinquencies.
Since the beginning of October main stream media reports, of Sadler's glaring lack of financial "planning" skills that's resulted in $300,000 in current tax delinquencies for him and his felonious partner Kapadia, have brought it home to voters and those who may have otherwise decided to donate to his campaign but for the reports that leave him looking like an ordinary boob with financial skills bordering on the absurd.
Sadler's partnership's huge tax delinquencies could spell disaster for a candidate looking to continue to administer hundreds of millions of tax dollars!
His true lack of financial skills doesn't make him a bad man……just a wind-filled braggard bordering on the brink of insovency and scurrying to cover it up and distance himself from it at the same time he pretends "credibility" in money handling to the voters of Montgomery County.
I'm thinking the Good Ol Boy campaign contributers who gave the better part of that $90,000 to Sadler early on in this election cycle, just gave their "payoffs" (er, I mean campaign donations) to Sadler's campaign the same as they have for the last five elections, thinking their "boy" would run unopposed as usual.
Were they ever surprised when HEATH worked hard and gathered the signatures necessary to get on the November ballot and now is within striking distance of their "flawed" pal.
Sadler, according to his own past campaign finance reports, has thought nothing of regularly using his crony's campaign money for all sorts of "personal" expenses like paying his Chief of Staff and Secretary's Christmas Bonuses, flowers for funerals, Christmas Party lunches at local steakhouses etc.
Since he has never before had a November opponent he never had reason to have to spend much of the campaign donations on a campaign, did he?
As Sadler is quoted in the latest Courier smear (er, story), "I spent very, very little money, the signs I had were from past races". Sure, why spend all that campaign money on things that would help you get elected IF you believe you will get elected without them!
That way, if you do win, you have all that money left over that you then can use to impress your staff and others as you continue to operate as the "conduit" for the political "grease" that flowed (from all those local politicians, lawyers, engineers, developers, bankers etc.) into your campaign coffers and directly back out (through the old "Delay-Style" campaign money-machine) to hopefully end up impressing the individuals who eventually "vote" for you (our "local-yokel" Santa Claus)!
A perfect example of Sadler playing Santa Claus, is when he just recently paid for that new Flat Panel TV with campaign donations and "donated" it to the new Republican Party Headquarters?
He did this at the same time that several small rural counties (where his gas station/convenience stores are located) are struggling from the effects of his companies tens of thousands in TAX DEFAULTS hitting their budgets at the same time that the overall economy is down.
Of course, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that lotsa "votes" pass through those hallowed halls at Republican Party Headquarters in Conroe (and Sadler liked the idea of every one of them reading the little plaque with his name on it indicating his benevolelnt "donation"). What a crock……he didn't even spend his own money on the TV.
But you can be sure that Sadler thinks that whoever does visit the building will probably ALL be willing to pull the "Republican Straight Ticket that his own wife, Mimi, and Chief of Staff, Ann Carr, have been urging early voters to do out at the early voting spots all week.
And, if Sadler happens to lose, I believe he gets to keep all unexpended campaign money left over……so, Sadler has it figured to pay off for himself either way.
Are we surprised? VOTE HEATH!
Tellin it to ya straight…….
