I was driving down Pruitt Rd. in Spring, TX 77381 (The one that runs from Budde Rd. to I45, has Papa's Ice House and Alexan Woods apartments on it) around 8am this morning (11/7/09) and noticed about 5-6 MCSO cars parked in the entrance to the Spring Creek apartments (Next to Alexan Woods) and easily as many or more across the street (with yellow crime tape strung up) at the church across the street. Lots of activity on this street lately, anyone know what this was about?

Hiya Dinkin

That call came in as a shooting just before 5 a.m. this morning. As more information became available it was reported that it was a self-inflicted gunshot wound (I believe in the chest) and the individual was running around the complex.

I believe at one point radio traffic indicated the subject made it out across Pruitt road…he possibly collapsed and died there(am unsure about that though)……all this is a bit cloudy as I was half asleep while listening to the call.

According to the Chronicle and other news sources it was an HPD officer.
