Business was down 11 percent at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center this year, but the facility is still faring better than both the area and region markets, said Fred Domenick, general manager of the facility.

“It remains a very difficult time,” Dominick told The Woodlands Township board at a recent meeting. “We are 7,000 rooms behind and the corporate rate is down.”
