I don't think you'll smell it.  I watched some of the congressional hearings about the drywall (and Katrina/Rita trailers) and it seems that the people who have been negatively affected have slowly (or all at once) begun to have symptoms of allergic reactions like runny nose, itchy watery eyes, muscle aches, tiredness, skin rashes etc.

Babies, elderly and immuno–compromised people are really susceptible to whatever was used in the manufacturing process.
