Does anyone that monitors this site have any information on the
possibility of said subject? There are an awful lot of people that live
east of the RR tracks and other than Riley Fuzzel the only other way
westward is on Rayford(barring Richards out of Imperial Oaks sub.). It
seems as busy as FM 1960 at times.
I know it would/will be a large task, not to mention expensive, but hey, we pay taxes.

Alan-
I saw this today on our HOA website. Here is the link. http://www.ciaservices.com/Com…..a?pk=LRHOA
Traffic Signal and Road Construction
Montgomery County Traffic Engineer has advised that a signal designed for the Legends Run and Rayford Road intersection has been approved, however it is currently not funded.
Also, Rayford Road from Fox Run to Riley Fuzzel is to be widened to four lanes which will involve replacing the existing drainage channel behind Legends Run with a storm sewer. The project will also tie-in a stub street to the widened roadway and allow for a second point of access to Legends Run, specific street not announced. The County is prepared to begin advertising the construction contract for the widening in the next two months.
We will post updates as available.

Heya Ryan
Thanks for posting this info.
You might also want to check with Precinct 3 Commissioner Ed Chance, I believe he would be involved in any road expansions issues on Rayford since the area is within his precinct.
If you contact his office I am sure they can provide you with information on upcoming road projects in the area….could probably provide some maps and other info.

Thanks Ryan and Foz for the info.
With all the new(er) subdivisions that have been built and expanded over the years Rayford has become quite a busy road. For the folks that live west of Imperial Oaks/Kroger it has to be a pain to get to I-45(especially during busy times). And for the folks that live in Benders Landing and the subdivision past Benders on the left(I don't know the name of it), they probably feel like they're in the boonies.
From what I can tell the Grand Pkwy will be very close to Benders Landing(those folks can't be happy about that), but that's probably some loooong years away.

I'm hoping it's a BK. And was very glad they put the Taco Bell in place there, otherwise you have to go all the way to Sawdust and Grogans Mill and that's too far.
Linky to Grand Parkway Segment that affects people between I-45 and US59.

Center purple box contains sections with Benders Landing and that other subdivision(last one on left-west of Riley Fuzzel).
