UPDATE: 11:00 a.m. – A DPS unit stopped an individual matching the description of the suspect behind a nearby Golds Gym.  The individual was in possession of a large amount of cash.

At approximately 9:45 a.m. this morning employees at the Amegy Bank on FM 2978 near FM 1488 reported a robbery.

Suspect described as a white male, 6' 2″,  lanky, salt and pepper hair wearing red and black plaid hat, a khaki coat and blue jeans.

The suspect left on foot. He was last seen going behind some buildings a short distance from the bank.

Subsequent radio traffic indicated the possibility the suspect may be armed.
