Do you have any idea how much pain is involved in that? Who do you think you are to post information about someones past when you have no idea who they are, nor do you know the story. How would you feel if your husband or brother died in a fatal crash and "assumtions" or "rumors" were brought into the equasion and someone thought it was their business to bring past situations to the table. You have no respect. You don't know my Jason's story. You don't know how he lived his life. You never knew his heart of gold. So please, the next time you think about posting information on another soul's life, THINK TWICE. How would you feel if you were put into this situation? It is none of your business.

I did not write this, let me say it again. I did not write this, it is a cut and paste from the news article. I do not have Publicdata.com.

According to PublicData, Jones pleaded guilty to state jail theft of property in September 2003 and received three years deferred adjudication. He pleaded guilty to burglary of a vehicle in Oct. 2004 and received two years probation.

Jones pleaded no contest for driving with an invalid license in December 2005 and received one years probation.

A disturbance at the What-a-burger resulted in a pursuit of a motorcycle on S. Millbend near Acorn Oak in The Woodlands ended when the motorcycle ran off the road, hit a ditch, ejecting the driver and the motorcycle coming to rest in the trees.
DPS is investigating the crash and details of the pursuit are still under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

I wrote only this:

Why did he run?

Dear Mrs. Rebecca,

I just wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  Jason was a great guy with an amazing outlook on life.  He touched the lives of everyone he met, including mine.  Even though we had some differences in the past, I still considered Jason a close friend.  He had a caring soul any would do anything for someone who needed a friend.  I am so sorry again for your loss.  If you ever need anything please call me.  I would love to help out with the foundation I remember hearing something about.

MDonn – Please just stop.  We all know Jason made a few mistakes in the past.  I'm pretty sure that everybody has.  It's part of growing up.  I find your postings to be overly obnoxious and grossly offensive.  The way you have carried on is childish, and I would think a representative of the community such as yourself would know how to act in a more considerate manner.  Everyone deserves the right to grieve without having to defend the person they are remembering.  Since you didn't know Jason, maybe you should just let those who did remember him the way they want to, the way he was as an actual person, not how you and your fellow officers saw him on paper.

Sincerely,

Ryan

Maybe everyone in your circle has a criminal record, but contrary to your belief, everyone has not been in trouble.

You want my sympathy for putting that cops life in danger, your not going to get it. Sorry he died, but at 24 he should have known better than to run.

I worked with those cops. They are my brothers just like my brothers who died at Hood yesterday.

you are an absolute moron. this family has yet to deny the fact that he was wrong to run. all they are asking is to mourn in peace. you must have done our country proud. my brother was a marine and from what i learned by talking to him he was taught to respect those who had lost someone. regardless of why or how. you never bash someone while they are down. at least a real man does not. although you do suffer from some mental issues. you would figure that a man with a page long background in psychology and law enforcement and military you would have accrued some common sense along with some dignity and respect. I bet your family is proud of you. kicking a dead man. wow. how do you do it. if the rest of the mcso is like you then i think i might ask for a transfer so maybe i can help get rid of people like you. every time i put my uniform on i put my life on the line. whether i'm chasing some one or not. i've seen alot of kids with backgrounds far worse than his wind up a very respectful community leader. you really brought us down on this one. by the way. you are no brother of mine.

You guys never stop. First the implied legal action from mom's employer. That didn't work. Then the implication that everyone has a criminal record. Now you want to impersonate a police officer. IMO this is what the problem was. Give it up. IMO if this is the role models this kid had, no wonder he had problems with the law.

Sec. 37.11. Impersonating Public Servant.

(a) A person commits an offense if he:

(1) impersonates a public servant with intent to induce another to submit to his pretended

official authority or to rely on his pretended official acts; or

(2) knowingly purports to exercise any function of a public servant or of a public office,

including that of a judge and court, and the position or office through which he purports

to exercise a function of a public servant or public office has no lawful existence under

the constitution or laws of this state or of the United States.

(b) An offense under this section is a felony of the third degree

Does Internet Anonymity Make People Rude?

I have been participating in discussion boards and forums since the early 90s, and one thing I have noticed is that people who hide behind pseudonyms or pen names and generic avatars seem to loose inhibitions regarding social behavior. Abrupt, rude replies and loss of good manners seem to be the main byproducts of this internet anonymity.

License for Rudeness?

While Joe Smith may have been taught good manners and social skills by his mother, "DarthJoe" has the social skills of a sociopath. Using his real name, Joe Smith is polite, and he wouldn't call people names or act like they were stupid in normal conversation. However, put him behind a computer screen as "DarthJoe," and he becomes almost vicious in his replies to other posters who don't agree with him. As "DarthJoe," he can belittle, insult, and patronize other posters in a way he would never do in public.

License for Mockery?

At his job, Joe Smith has been known to help in training new workers in his department. But let "DarthJoe" get ahold of newbies on his favorite boards, and he acts like they are idiots for not having the 100, often complicated and/or confusing rules in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and Terms of Service (TOS) memorized. At work, Joe Smith refrains from mocking his trainees, at least to their face. On the web he revels in mockery and pithy one-liners guaranteed to make the newcomers feel inferior, inept and stupid.

While experienced posters could and often DO offer helpful advice, the "DarthJoes" among them make sure the new members learn a lesson they will not soon forget if they don't know a rule or ask the wrong question. It is often intimidating for new members to ask questions in forums, because they are afraid they will be mocked and ridiculed for "stupid questions."

I took his place. His wife was 8 and a half months preg. He was a friend his best friend and mine gave him CPR, but half his head was gone. That officer became my partner. Michael was executed.

Do you really think I will give a criminal sympathy, if you do, your more stupid then he was. If he hadn't run he would still be alive. You want more? I pinned on a badge in 1977, I've seen a lot die, because of criminal behavior.

Can I bring my cop buddies and one Chief of Police so you can tell them how you think? The Chief was Rivers friend also. Hell one of his guys was probably in the chase you are so upset about. How about it? In fact, I'll bet on it.

We can meet at his wife's restaurant.

My buds from my unit also? TABC, DPS, HCSO, Galveston, MCSO, Dallas, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, HPD and TDC, MCSO, and a few more. If your really a cop, they will probably know you. You can lecture all of us. I'm sure the soldiers will love your excuses for bad behavior. They like Hassan a lot. By the way, they are not only cops in civilian life but MP's. You game?

We would all love to hear a cop say what you are saying.

By the way, you need to ID yourself first.

According to a report issued by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund the number of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty jumped twenty percent (20%) during the first six months of 2009. The number of officers killed in traffic related incidents increased seventeen percent (17%) during the first six months of 2009 from 30 to 35 deaths. Of interest is the fact that more officers are killed in the line of duty in traffic related accidents than they are with incidents involving firearms.

We have blogged before about the dangers to the public caused by high speed police chases. Obviously, officers in the line of duty are endangered when they engage in these pursuits. While such pursuits are justified when the offender is dangerous to the public such as a carjacker, armed robber, suspected rapist or murderer, the same cannot be stated for situations involving minor traffic offenders and other non-violent offenses. In short, when the suspected offender has done nothing which is dangerous to the public and thereafter a high speed pursuit ensues at speeds approaching 100 miles per hour, not only is the innocent public endangered by such a pursuit, the officer himself can be endangered as he/she can lose control of their vehicle quite easily at such speeds.

We continue to advocate that high speed pursuits should be limited to those situations where the danger to the public caused by the chase itself is justified by the dangers to the public presented by the suspect. If the danger to the public caused by the chase itself is greater than the need to apprehend a non-violent offender as an example, the pursuit should be terminated. Research and statistics show that if pursuits are terminated, the suspect ceases to flee, shows down and deadly collisions are avoided. Of interest is that crime does not increase in those jurisdictions that have restrictive pursuit policies.

What was his priors again? I don't recall any violent priors. And if I'm not mistaken they said they were trying to pull him over to question him.(so they said) So why pursue? And put even more lives in danger besides himself in a residential neighborhood?

Officer Rivers' partner, who had tripped during the pursuit, heard two gun shots coming from across the parking lot. He and the original officer found Officer Rivers suffering from two shots to this head, one to his arm, and one to his leg.

(the math doesn't add up here)

I dont believe that anyone ask you to give sympathy to the person that died.

I think it was more to the family that was living. If you want to get serious about it. Exactly what is more dangerous at high speeds a motorcycle of a car? Who really put more lives at risk?

Thing is, you are a moron, nobody is trying to justify him running.Every one seems to agree that he shouldn't have. All everyone is saying is you need to have some respect for the family that grieves. And keep your Moronic opinion to yourself. Saying things like "he got what he deserved" is pointless and ignorant.

And if you really want to discuss this in person with all of your so called friends I'm all for it. I really don't think  you have friends. They probably feel sorry for you. I know I do and I've never met you. Maybe if you spent less time on this computer and more time in the real world with say someone like your family. Then maybe you would learn some decency and respect for those that live.

I believe that if your friends(so called) really knew what you were saying they would disagree with you. i think they would say that a young man lost his life and a family mourns his death. Now if the family begins to bash the officers who gave chase, the morons like you are welcome to say what you so diligently say. Fortunately this kid was not a member of my family. For you.

I put on a uniform and serve the public everyday.I never said I was a Cop.

    Restuarant name and time?

You implied that you are a Peace Ofiicer, as those are the only ones authorised to pursue. This implication is coupled with a threat. That would fall under the Penal Code as Terroristic Threat, coupled with the implication that you are a Peace Officer. This is 2 charges one being a felony.

A simple peace of paper and we know who you are.

You should have read the post as I read the report and corner report.

You give me the time and date, during the day, and Chief Walters and I will meet you there. We might invite the DA.

As it stands, I could call the SO and file a report now.

Now gets this through your stupid head. I only cut and pasted his record from the Courier and asked why did he run. You people went after me not them.

His mom could have gotten her boss disbarred with her threatening emails. I talked my wife, an attorney from filing a Bar complaint. I'm sorry a young life is lost. I said that before, but unfortunately in this world, you are a victim of your actions as you could become the victim of yours.

Stop the threats, or Foz is going to be mad when he has to turn over your IP.

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Friday in United States vs. Forester that IP addresses and the To/From fields in emails are the legal equivalent of dialed phone numbers and the government can get a court order to obtain them without showing probable cause as would be needed in a search one’s house

Texas recently enacted a law, effective September 1, 2009, that criminalizes online harassment. Texas joins other states, including Nevada, New York and Tennessee, which have enacted similar legislation criminalizing the use of electronic communication devices to commit criminal stalking and harassment.

Good job Mr. Donnely. You called my bluff. As I was trying with you. I was in no way threatening you. I am not as well written as you. I did not finish my statement FOR YOU was to be followed by THE SAME. As in "fortunately this kid is not a member of my family. for you the same."  I am not a cop and did not purposely imply that, again i say, i am not as well written as you.

My only point was that a man with your background would be expected have a little more compassion among the living. There is a time and place for the words that officers speak like words you spoke. Behind closed doors. Amongst themselves. Not in public where mourning relatives are affected.

Each case should be more thoroghly examined by a person like you before you say things that could ultimately affect someone else. Take your opinions and talk among fellow officers not on a website that is easily viewed by family and friends.

No threats, No implications, only my opinion.

    Nov 5th by me.

You want to go after the Courier, they put his record up. His mom said he was 16 when those happened. Why is his juvie record available?

By the way. I've been in a lot of high speed pursuits. Two crashes. In one my partner and I were injured.

I'm sorry a young life was ended, but he was an adult and he made the choice to run. If he hadn't done anything, he should not have run.

Sue the cop for chasing him. Sue the Courier. Hell, sue me for cut and paste.

Best advice, let it go, and move on. All your doing is drawing more attention to his memory and yourself.

I'm done, unless you want to continue.

    Today.

I talked to FOZ last night and people are getting tired of this crap, me too. Let it go Turner, or email me and take it out of the public eye. Your are doing exactly what you are accusing me of.

    I'm done.

Wow, mdonn, you sure are arrogant, if you are anytype of example of what our officers are, then my tax money has surely been wasted.  If you are truly an officer then you are supposed to be an unbiased person, not a judge, not a jury and definitely not a person who would intentionally, wontonly and cruelly treat others the way you have treated this family.  I see why there are so many people now taping every time they see the police with someone, obviously with officers like you we now need protection from the officers that are supposed to protect and serve us.

Maybe people don't post their names on the blogs out of fear of people like you in a position of power.  Just from your blogs and postings on various subjects, the fact that you have the ability to have any power over any indivual with your badge is an extremely scary proposition.  I hope for all of Montgomery County that soon you will either move on or be removed from your position.
