Female was shot in the leg.
Suspect fled the area on foot towards the freeway.

Local news reporting the shooting was the result of a car jacking at The Woodlands Mall. Shooter was found hiding under the Woodlands Pkwy/I45 overpass.

I was just by the scene. The was a DPS Tahoe, 2 Sheriff's cars as well as the crime scene van. Two lanes of the Southbound feeder road were blocked and there was an area in the median surrounded by crime scene tape. I could not see why the area was taped off.

My wife happened to be driving North bound on the feeder just after the attack happened. She said she saw a man tumbling down the hill near the feeder road fleeing the scene. Apparently shortly thereafter the suspect was caught.

I should have added. This was at Lake Woodlands and the feeder. I have seen reports that said Research Forest and Woodlands Parkway.

Yes it was under the Lake Woodlands over pass at I-45 where the suspect was apprehended. The cordoned off area was the location where they thought the gun might be.
Working on some video now.
