At approximately 5:40 p.m.  east county fire departments responded to a call of smoke coming from a house on Chariot Lane in Roman Forest.

Once on scene first reports were heavy smoke was emanating from the structure.

5:50 p.m.  Command pulled a second alarm bringing in additional units from Grangerland and River Plantation.

We believe this may be the residence of the Roman Forest Mayor.
