No it doesn't.

So who is 4P1002 or 4P201? Is that district 4 patrol dayshift (1002) and eve shift (201 at a different rank)?

BTW Foz, thanks for the great site. I have been a guest for some time. I appreciate the effort in keeping us informed of where all the knuckleheads and dirtbags are committing crimes in our communities.

Also, thanks to all the LEO's, Fire, and EMS, for doing the hard work for us. There are many of us out here that are the silent majority who appreciate all you do for us.

Heya Bob :-)

Thanks for the kind words.

In case you did not see the updated portion of the FAQ here it is:

MCSO Unit #'s

All MCSO unit numbers have changed to the following as of Nov 1, 2010:

Unit # format = X1X2X3X4X5X6

X1 = District Number (1-6)
X2 = Unit Type (T=Traffic , T2= Woodlands Traffic , D=Detectives, U=Sex Offender, S=Swat, C=Crime Lab, N=Narcotics, P=Patrol, J=Jail, Z= Dispatcher, K= Canine, I= ?
X3 = Unit Number
X4 = Unit Number
X5 = Unit Number
X6 = Unit Number

Example : 5P1010 = a District 5 Patrol Deputy .

Example:  6P102 = a District 6 Patrol Senior Sergeant (the Woodlands)

Example: 3P201 = a District 3 Patrol junior (buck) Sergeant

Example: 2P10 = a District 2 Patrol Lt.

As before, fewer digits in the X3 X4 X5 X6 positions denotes higher rank

I currently still believe this is correct. If Anon or anyone else can provide any info to the contrary we would appreciate the information.
