Shenandoah, Texas (Montgomery County Monitor) – At approximately 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening, Needham Volunteer Fire Department and others responded to a fire call at the Park at Woodmoor apartment complex located in the 8700 block of Shenandoah Park Drive.

One person seriously injured and flown by air ambulance. According to DPS personnel, the passenger vehicle attempted to make a left hand turn from the right hand lane of a two lane state highway. The vehicle turned directly in front of masonry truck.

 
Initial dispatch occurred at approximately 4:50 a.m. Units first on scene reported a working structure fire. The fire quickly grew to 3 alarms, bringing personnel from nearly all fire departments in Montgomery County to the scene. The residents of the home escaped without injury.
