MCSO Press Release – Marijuana Seizure – Splendora
On Saturday, November 19, 2011, a patrol officer with the Splendora Police Department conducted an investigation into a commercial motor vehicle that was stopped in the 14700 block of Highway 59 North in Splendora, Texas.
During the investigation the Splendora Police Department requested the assistance of deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit.
Using a Narcotics Canine the investigation led to the seizure of several hundred pounds of marijuana.
The marijuana was discovered hidden inside a sealed wooden crate that was being shipped to Tennessee.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is on-going.
