Bryan Keith Carnes, 07-16-1967 (44 YOA) from Willis, Texas, has been identified as the person shot and killed this morning after the pursuit that started in the Willis area.

March 8, 2012 Update
The suspect, Peter James Martin, remains hospitalized and has not been able to speak. Martin has been charged with Aggravated Assault of a Public Servant, Evading – Felony, Tampering with Evidence – Felony, and Possession of a Controlled substance – Felony.

On Wednesday, January 18, 2012, Joseph Charles Lynch of Conroe appeared before Walker County visiting Judge Jerry Sandel, who was hearing the matter on behalf of Montgomery County 9th District Judge Fred E. On December 28, 2011, at approximately 7:30 pm a women was leaving The Woodlands Mall (1201 Lake Robbins) when she was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects grabbed the victim’s purse and when her husband tried to intervene the second suspect threatened him. The suspects fled to a vehicle which was waiting nearby.

On December 20, 2011, around 5:40 PM a deputy with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop the vehicle on FM 1314 for making an illegal u-turn.

On Monday, 10/17/11, at 4:22 pm, a Conroe Police Officer was involved in a short vehicle pursuit in the Southeast section of the city. After returning a guilty verdict in thirty minutes, a Montgomery County Jury took a mere 23 minutes to sentence to six life sentences. Judge Michael Seiler imposed the sentences which will run concurrently. Mr. Meachum will serve 30 real years before he becomes eligible for parole.
